Ingredients:
- Five
5 x 5-inch pastry squares
- 1
pound ground sausage meat
- 1
small onion
- 1
egg
- 1
Tablespoon water
Method: |

- Chop
onion and add to sausage meat.
- Beat
the egg and water together in a small bowl. Roll out
pastry squares and shape sausage meat into five "logs."

Place a sausage log at one end of a pastry square
and roll.
- Seal
the seam by brushing some of the egg mixture along
the seam and pinching the two dough surfaces together.
- Place
the sausage rolls, seam side down, onto a baking sheet
and brush pastry with egg mixture.
- Bake
at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
- emove
and let cool. Slice rolls into 1/2-inch thick pieces
and reheat to order.
- Arrange
slices on a platter and serve with a sherry mushroom
sauce for dipping.
