The Grand Hyatt is a relatively new addition to the Taipei hotel scene. Very grand, very large and very convenient to the Taipei World Trade Centre. In fact it is part of the same complex and guests can walk under cover from the hotel to the WTC. For location alone, the Grand Hyatt is one of the most popular hotels with trade visitors to Taipei and the building across the street of the new 102 storey World Financial Center - and no other hotels within walking distance - will assure it of business well into the future. "Cheers" Bar on the ground floor is a popular meeting spot for a drink with live music every evening while "Zigga Zagga" on the mezzanine level provides Italian food during normal business hours and Taipei's most popular disco venue for the night owls.

Caesar Park Taipei - Formerly Hilton International Taipei

Telephone: 886-2-2311-5151 Fax : 886-2-2331-9944

One of the first five star hotels in Taipei and still one of the finest in the Hilton tradition. If you like oak panelling and under-stated service this is a great place to stay. When built, adjacent to the Taipei railway station it was right in the centre of town; since then the main business district has moved east but it is still a great and comfortable place with easy access to most parts of the city.

A fine hotel in the European tradition and in contrast to the glamour of the Hollywood style establishments. Very fine restaurants, very fine bar (with real log fire in winter) and very high prices - but those who stay there think it worth it.
