Virtual Taiwan has developed a complete set of interactive on-line business directories encompassing all major areas of interest to the foreign business community. All directories have been compiled in a database format and will shortly be available in dynamic html whereby updates can be done "on the fly" and displayed in real time. This system will enable individual records to be displayed on the viewers screen and with more information than is currently presented.
The main directory index file provides access to a series of sub-index files covering all major areas of interest. Again graphics files are kept to a minimum to ensure fast downloads.
Currently the Directories area is organised around five main sections:

Individual directories are displayed in a split screen format for ease in locating the appropriate directory entry of interest. A number of directories are cross-references to other related directories and the primary database storage format ensures that additional information can be stored for expansion of the basic directory listings. All advertisers on the VT site have their directory entry hyperlinked to their page on the site for ease of locating additional information on a specific company and its products.
A feedback form affords companies and organisations the opportunity to submit new or updated listings via the internet thereby ensuring that information need never be out of date.
